This build is doable with only clicking the dash skill to relocate. ![]() Also, because I have issues with my arms/hands I use razor/Logitech mouse with possibilities to get help with clicking. Btw maybe I’m just making this up because NDA so I wouldn’t say I did this build or played the beta… maybe I just wanna spread a cool build I made up in my dreams. How viable it’ll be in late endgame is left to be seen but it worked well. Also, smokebomb auto cast on dash location through legend helped. Sometimes aoe freeze, sometimes aoe poison debuff sometimes aoe shadow dmg making mobs explode. Just dash around and explode in different colours. A living exploding aoe pillar with almost 100% upkeep of an imbuement. I'd imagine that pure melee Rogue will be plenty viable but it wouldn't at all surprise me if hybrid Rogue was more fun.Ĭonvention of Imbuements: Flurry (aoe legend) build with all 3 imbuements cycling every 2.56 sec. I do, however, think that it will likely offer fewer skill choices than other builds simply because the Rogue is split into melee and ranged skills, and if you only want to play with melee skills then you're naturally going to isolate a lot of the Rogue's skill package. Overall I think pure melee Rogue will probably be in a fine place. Assuming this is correct, then combined with Rapid Imbuement (Imbuements have 5/10/15% reduced CD) and Trick Attacks (Lucky Hit: up to a 5/10/15% chance to apply a random Imbuement when dealing direct damage) passives you can keep your Frost Imbuement up quite often, giving you a lot of CC. All the Imbuement skills only have a cooldown of 9 seconds, which from my understanding is usually further reduced by increasing your rank in that skill (from what I heard, each skill rank in a skill with a cooldown reduces its CD by roughly 10% of its original CD). Of all of the classes, the Rogue has the most methods of moving around the battlefield with skills like Dash or Shadow Step, and Cold Imbuement lets you add CC to repertoire of tricks. That being said, from everything I've heard D4 is a slower and more deliberate game than D2 or D3 (endgame anyway) and so I think a melee Rogue will do alright. Given that we only know a few from the codex I think a lot of build viability will be up in the air until we at least get to play the beta, and probably not really until release. ![]() Having not played the game I can't say with certainty, but I think any given class/build's viability is going to in large part come down to what legendary aspects are available.
